When you clicked on this page, I believe you watched quite a few VRC videos. This is just a little help, and I recommend learning more from the experts' settings and tutorials.

Preparation Before Getting Started#
- A decent performance computer; the CPU can be a bit weaker, but the graphics card must be good (it’s okay if it’s just average).

Settings and Model Modification#

The version downloaded from Steam is not linked to the official account and is inconvenient for upgrades. Click here to register.
After registration, it is recommended to open the game and bind your account (in the account section). -
Then search for VCC to download this software and follow the steps to install Unity, as this VCC has version restrictions, and it is clear that you need to download a specific version for stable operation and model modification. Here are Tutorial 1 and Tutorial 2.

Settings section:
Press ESC in the game, then select this gear in the pop-up window. The magnifying glass in the upper right corner opens like this.
Main game keys:
Let’s mainly talk about screen settings, protection levels, comfort, and safety.
- Comfort:
Personal Space: This mainly means that when you get close to others, the model will disappear directly—no hugging🥲
AFK Status: This means that when you switch out to find songs or watch videos, it will show an AFK action in the game. For specifics, check this video:
This guy probably ran out of battery on his headset, triggering AFK. So you need to know that AFK can also detect the headset.
- Sharing Settings:
For private messages, just press the Y key or ENTER to type, and whether you can receive others' messages.
The second float can stay at default.
- Instant Photo Mode:
Features in VRC+ mode.

This live mode is activated when you are streaming, hiding certain key information from others or yourself.
Allow access to untrusted URLs is recommended to be turned on, as many maps require this. For example, the Taiwan K.
The other parts can stay at default; adjusting them doesn’t have much impact.

For graphics cards like my 3060ti, you can set it up like this (actually, I mainly think reducing it a bit enhances its lifespan; running at full high is fine):
Just a reminder that you can increase the resolution on the headset and reduce the game graphics settings to lessen the GPU load.
